Rare Hand Carved Natural Turquoise Heishi Beaded Necklace w/ Feather Leaves Vintage 1970s, Native American Indian Artist BOHO Tribal Jewelry offered by TheJewelSeeker on Etsy. The necklace has two strands of Turquoise heishi beads separated with rectangle shaped bars. Then stations of hand carved large thick leaves place about 2 1/2" apart. There are 9 leaf stations. The silver end clasp and hook are sterling silver. The clasp appears to be hand wrought hook design. The sterling silver has a beautiful patina that we opted not to disturb by polishing, and we will leave it to the buyer to decide if they want to polish them. Our Native American Jewelry expert is not absolutely certain, but thought the turquoise is either from the Kingman mines or the #8 Mine. We will leave that up to the buyer to decide also. Color: Turquoise and coral and oxidized Sterling silver Approximate Size: 27.5" and the turquoise leaves are slightly varied in size, but approximately 2 5/8" x 1 1/2". Condition: Excellent, This is a pre-owned item that contains normal wear, there are minor clips in the leaves, but these could have been there before strung, and are natural chips as the Turquoise is natural carved beads. Approximate Date: 1960s 1970’s Hallmarks/signature: Unsigned Artisan Jewelry Care of Sterling jewelry: Patina is what gives older silver pawn jewelry its character.
